Dog Training Winter Blues

Dog HeadphonesDon't miss my next radio show titled Dog Training Winter Blues on Thursday February, 21st at 6:30pm. Just to clarify, it says "Feb. 22nd" on the home page of my website. That is a technical problem from the BlogTalkRadio website. Normally the information shown is correct and you can look for my next show date. If you select the link, you will be taken to the correct page and it will show the correct date on the destination page. 

You can listen directly on your computer by selecting the link above. You can also listen to any of my archived shows at any time. I will discuss strategies for training tips to practice inside to provide dogs with mental and physical exercise during inclement weather. Chicago in particular has had a brutal winter, and I know there are a lot of people and dogs with cabin fever.

I really have to thank you for this -- our winter here in Atlantic Canada has been particularly challenging for dogs this year. It's not the snow or cold (one can dress for that!) so much as the icy ground. A series of small ice storms since the holidays has made walking difficult, and running a dog is downright dangerous at times, so any ideas for keeping the dogs from getting 'cabin fever' are very much appreciated!

You can also use the strategies when it is really hot outside Shanker!

I am a private dog trainer in Chicago, IL. I studied at the famous Academy for Dog Training in San Francisco, with the phenomenal trainer Jean Donaldson. I started Chicago Paws, my private dog training business in 2001 and I started my online dog training site WatchandTrain.com January of 2007. I launched the community portion of the site at the end of 2007. I am a zealot about positive reinforcement-only dog training and want everyone to enjoy their dogs as much as I enjoy mine -- without using pain or fear of any kind in dog training.
